Gujarat Common Entrance Test
GUJCET (Gujarat Common Entrance Test) is conducted by the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) for admission to degree engineering and degree/diploma pharmacy courses in Gujarat. It is an offline, OMR-based multiple-choice test with a combined Physics and Chemistry paper plus a Mathematics and/or Biology paper. It follows the NCERT-based syllabus GSEB adopts for Class 12 Science, and papers are offered in Gujarati, Hindi and English. The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC), Gujarat, prepares the merit list from Class 12 theory percentile in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology together with the GUJCET percentile, with weightages set in its admission rules; ACPC also publishes a separate JEE Main (All India) seat matrix. Pattern, marking and dates are set by GSEB each year.

Eligibility
Passed or appearing in Class 12 Science: from the Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board, or from CBSE or CISCE through a recognised school in Gujarat, or as otherwise eligible under the admission committee's rules (for example, children of Gujarat-origin government officials posted in other states). Science groups: A (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics), B (Physics, Chemistry, Biology) or AB (all four) (GUJCET 2026 booklet).
