TOEFL iBT
Test of English as a Foreign Language (Internet-Based Test)
ETS says TOEFL iBT scores are accepted by more than 13,500 universities and other institutions in over 160 countries, including every university in the United States, Canada, the UK, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland. It is taken on computer at a test centre or as the TOEFL iBT Home Edition — the same test at home with a live human proctor; check availability for your location on ets.org. Each university sets its own score requirement: ETS notes that a school which asked for 100 on the old 0–120 scale may now ask for 5 on the 1–6 scale, and one that asked for 80 may ask for 4. Scores are valid for two years from the test date.
