VIT Engineering Entrance Examination
VITEEE is the computer-based entrance test Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) conducts for admission to its B.Tech programmes at VIT Vellore and VIT Chennai (a deemed-to-be university) and at VIT-AP and VIT Bhopal (state private universities), with test centres in India and abroad. The test is in English only and covers Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry, aptitude and English, on a subject syllabus VIT publishes. Selection is by VITEEE rank through VIT's online counselling, where candidates choose a campus and programme. VIT states that Class 12, JEE Main and SAT scores are not considered for B.Tech admission, and that there is no management quota. Pattern and dates are set in the prospectus each year.

125 multiple-choice questions (Mathematics or Biology 40, Physics 35, Chemistry 35, Aptitude 10, English 5), four marks per correct answer and one mark deducted per wrong answer; no marks for unanswered questions
Eligibility
Resident or non-resident Indian nationals, OCI or PIO holders (NRI and foreign applicants have separate application routes). For VITEEE 2026, candidates must be born on or after 1 July 2004. They must have completed or be appearing in Class 12 (10+2) or a listed equivalent, with at least 60% aggregate in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry and at least 50% in Mathematics — or the same with Biology for the programmes open to PCB candidates. The aggregate required is 50% for SC/ST candidates and for those from Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and the north-eastern states (viteee.vit.ac.in; VITEEE 2026 prospectus).
