Kerala Engineering Architecture and Medical
KEAM is the Kerala state admission process for professional undergraduate courses, run by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE), Government of Kerala. The Engineering entrance, and a separate Pharmacy entrance for B.Pharm, are computer-based tests held in several sessions and set at the standard of the higher secondary examination. Engineering ranks give equal weight to the normalised entrance score and to normalised Class 12 marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Seats are allotted through the Centralised Allotment Process (CAP). Architecture ranks give equal weight to NATA and qualifying-examination marks, and medical and allied courses (such as MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, agriculture and veterinary) use NEET-UG ranks. Pattern, marking and dates are set in the prospectus each year.

Engineering paper: 150 multiple-choice questions (Mathematics 75, Physics 45, Chemistry 30), four marks per correct answer and one mark deducted per wrong answer; the entrance score is normalised to 300 and added to normalised Class 12 marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry (also out of 300) for an engineering rank index out of 600
Eligibility
Indian citizens (OCI/PIO card holders are treated at par for admission, but without reservation or fee concession), classed as Keralite or Non-Keralite (Category I or II) for seat eligibility. Engineering: passed (or appearing, provisionally) the Kerala Higher Secondary examination or an equivalent with Physics and Mathematics, plus Chemistry (or, if not studied, Computer Science, Biotechnology or Biology), with at least 45% in the three subjects together (40% for SC/ST/SEBC/PD candidates); at least 17 years old on 31 December 2026, with no upper age limit (KEAM 2026 prospectus).
