IBPS Common Recruitment Process for Customer Service Associates (CRP CSA — clerical cadre)
IBPS Clerk is the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection's Common Recruitment Process for Customer Service Associates (CRP CSA; earlier rounds were titled CRP Clerical Cadre). It recruits for the participating public sector banks listed in each notification (11 for CRP CSA-XVI, for 2027–28 vacancies). Recruitment is State/UT-wise: a candidate applies for the vacancies of one State or UT only. First comes an online Preliminary exam in English Language, Numerical Ability and Reasoning Ability, and each test must be qualified. It is followed by an online Main exam. The notification's process runs from the Main exam straight to provisional allotment, with the Main score alone deciding merit. For each wrong answer, a quarter of that question's marks is deducted. Before joining, candidates must qualify a Local Language Proficiency Test, unless their Class 10 or higher records show they studied the language. Provisional allotment is by merit and preference. The process expires one year after provisional allotment, or when a fresh allotment is made, whichever is earlier.

Preliminary: 100 (each of the three tests must be qualified). Main: 200, and the Main score alone decides merit (converted to 100 for provisional allotment). A quarter of a question's marks is deducted for each wrong answer.
Eligibility
Bachelor's degree in any discipline, with the result by 21 August 2026 for CRP CSA-XVI. Age 20–28 as on 1 August 2026, with category relaxations per the notification. Candidates also need computer literacy and proficiency in the specified local language of the one State or UT they apply for. Open to Indian citizens, and to certain others listed in the notification who hold a Government of India eligibility certificate.
