CTET
Central Teacher Eligibility Test
CTET is the national teacher eligibility test conducted by CBSE in offline, pen-and-paper mode. It has two papers: Paper I for teaching Classes 1–5 and Paper II for Classes 6–8. Qualifying CTET is a minimum eligibility requirement for teaching in central government schools (Kendriya Vidyalayas, Navodaya Vidyalayas) and is accepted by many other schools. Clearing CTET does not guarantee appointment — actual recruitment is done separately by the school or recruitment authority.
