Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test
BITSAT is the computer-based admission test BITS Pilani, a deemed-to-be university, conducts for its integrated first-degree programmes — B.E., B.Pharm. and M.Sc. — at the Pilani, K K Birla Goa and Hyderabad campuses. BITS states it is the only route into these programmes and that there is no management quota. The test is in English only and covers Physics, Chemistry, English proficiency, logical reasoning, and Mathematics (or Biology for B.Pharm., B.E. Environmental & Sustainability Engg. and M.Sc. Biological Sciences). The syllabus is published in the brochure, which refers candidates to NCERT textbooks. It is held in two sessions and the higher score counts; the admission merit list uses the BITSAT scores of candidates who meet the Class 12 marks rule. admissions.bits-pilani.ac.in is the official BITS Pilani admission portal. Pattern and dates are set in the brochure each year.

130 multiple-choice questions (Physics 30, Chemistry 30, English proficiency 10, logical reasoning 20, Mathematics or Biology 40), three marks per correct answer and one mark deducted per wrong answer; a candidate who answers all 130 may attempt up to 12 extra questions
Eligibility
Class 12 (10+2) from a recognised Central or State board or an equivalent, passed in 2025 or taken in 2026 (2024 or earlier is not eligible). At least five subjects are needed, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and a language; Biology may replace Mathematics for B.Pharm., B.E. Environmental & Sustainability Engg. and M.Sc. Biological Sciences. Candidates need at least 75% aggregate in those three subjects and at least 60% in each (BITSAT 2026 brochure).
