Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture & Pharmacy Common Entrance Test
AP EAPCET (earlier held as AP EAMCET) is the Andhra Pradesh state entrance test conducted by JNTU Kakinada on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It is used for first-year admission in the state to engineering, biotechnology and allied B.Tech courses, to B.Sc. Agriculture and Horticulture, veterinary (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) and fisheries (B.F.Sc.) courses, and to B.Pharm and Pharm.D. It is a computer-based test in English and Telugu, with two streams: engineering, and agriculture & pharmacy. The rank combines normalised test marks (75%) with Intermediate marks in the group subjects (25%), and is valid for admission in that academic year only. Seats are allotted through admission counselling convened by the Commissioner of Technical Education, Andhra Pradesh. Undergraduate medical admission is through NEET (UG), not this test.

Score range
160 multiple-choice questions, 1 mark each, no negative marking. Engineering: Mathematics 80, Physics 40, Chemistry 40. Agriculture & pharmacy: Biology 80 (Botany 40, Zoology 40), Physics 40, Chemistry 40. The rank combines normalised test marks (75%) with Intermediate group-subject marks (25%); a rank also needs 25% of the maximum marks considered for ranking (no minimum for SC/ST candidates).
Eligibility
Indian nationality, or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) card holders. Candidates must belong to Andhra Pradesh and meet the state's local/non-local rules for 2026-27. They must have passed or be appearing in Intermediate (10+2) with the required subjects — Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry for engineering — or a Diploma in Engineering, with at least 45% in those subjects (40% for reserved categories). Some courses, such as B.Tech Dairy Technology and Agricultural Engineering, also have age limits.
