If chemistry or a closely related field is your subject, that is a meaningful, university-stated signal. JLU is a broad comprehensive university and teaches a wide range of other fields across its schools, but chemistry is the area it puts forward first — and for an applicant choosing between similar-looking comprehensive universities, that self-declared emphasis is a more reliable guide than an agent's ranking table.

Language, applying, and the CSCA test for bachelor applicants

International admission is managed by JLU's College of International Education, whose official admission page covers requirements, application materials and procedures for bachelor's, master's and doctoral study, and links its online application system.

Clinical medicine: the exam at the end decides the value at the start

Indian students researching medicine abroad sometimes reach a large comprehensive university like this one. If that is you, look at the end of the path before the beginning.

For an Indian student, a foreign medical degree's practical value at home rests on passing India's screening or licentiate examination — currently the FMGE, with the NExT planned to succeed it — which is what leads to registration to practise in India. That examination sits at the end of several years abroad and considerable expense, and it is administered by Indian authorities under Indian rules, not by any foreign university. On the China side separately: do not assume this or any university currently enrols international students in clinical medicine, or that such a programme is taught in English — confirm that on the university's own official admissions pages for the current intake.
