CUET UG
Common University Entrance Test (Undergraduate)
CUET (UG) is a computer-based entrance test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) for admission to undergraduate programmes at India's central universities and at participating state, deemed-to-be and private universities. For CUET (UG) 2026 a candidate could choose up to five of 37 subjects — 13 languages, 23 domain subjects and a General Aptitude Test. Domain subjects follow the NCERT syllabus, and question papers were offered in 13 languages at centres in India and in 15 cities abroad. NTA runs the test and publishes scores; each university sets its own programme eligibility and subject requirements and draws up its own merit list. The NTA score is valid for admission in that academic year only. Subjects, pattern, fees and dates are set afresh in each year's information bulletin.

Score range
50 compulsory multiple-choice questions per test paper: +5 for each correct answer, −1 for each incorrect answer, 0 if unanswered. Marks from different shifts are converted to NTA scores (CUET (UG) 2026)
Eligibility
Passed Class 12 (or equivalent) or appearing in it in 2026; there is no age limit for the test. Each university applies its own age, subject, minimum-mark and year-of-passing rules for its programmes.

₹1,000 for up to three subjects plus ₹400 for each additional subject (General/UR, CUET (UG) 2026); ₹900 + ₹375 (OBC-NCL/EWS); ₹800 + ₹350 (SC/ST/PwD/PwBD/third gender); ₹4,500 + ₹1,800 at centres outside India. Bank processing charges and GST are extra.
